If you love pub walks, this one’s for you. The walk from our pub to our neighbouring sister pub, the Lock Keeper in Keynsham, is a picturesque must-do riverside route. Following the River Avon, this tranquil trail meanders past Hanham Lock and through the serene surroundings of Conham River Park. With stunning waterside views and abundant wildlife, it’s the perfect way to enjoy a leisurely stroll (around 1.5 miles) between two charming riverside pubs.

Getting here
We have a free onsite car park with plenty of space for our guests. However, during the busy summer months, it can fill up quickly, so we recommend arriving early to secure your spot.
Public transport options are limited, but there are various bus routes from Bristol that will take you to Hanham. For a more unique and memorable experience, we highly recommend a pub lunch cruise. You can catch the boat from Bristol Harbour, which stops right outside the pub. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a scenic journey along the River Avon before tucking into a delicious meal.

For cyclists, we offer ample space to securely park your bike right outside the main entrance. If you’re arriving by boat, there are convenient pontoons directly opposite the pub, providing easy access for those joining us by paddleboard or kayak.
